Your journey begins as you land at Cotonou Airport, where you'll be welcomed into the heart of Benin. After settling in, we’ll kick things off with our signature Urban Flight Collective welcome dinner in the evening. Dress up in your finest attire and get ready for a night filled with delicious food, lively music, and engaging conversations with fellow travelers. It's the perfect way to start our cultural exploration of West Africa!

November 30, 2025
On day two of our journey, we'll dive into the rich cultural heritage of Benin, starting with a visit to the floating village of Ganvie. Known as the "Venice of Africa," this remarkable community is built entirely on stilts over Lake Nokoué, offering a fascinating glimpse into the lives of its residents.
After exploring the waterways and learning about the history of this UNESCO World Heritage site, we’ll head back to Cotonou to visit its iconic monuments. These landmarks will give us a deeper appreciation of the city's vibrant history and the role it plays in modern Benin.

December 1, 2025
On day three, we’ll journey to the historic town of Ouidah, a key site in West Africa’s slave trade history. Our first stop is the Ouidah Slave Monument, where we’ll reflect on the powerful history of the transatlantic slave trade and its impact on the African diaspora.
Next, we’ll visit the fascinating Python Temple, a sacred site where spirituality and cultural traditions converge.
After a day filled with deep historical insights and cultural exploration, we’ll head back to the hotel to unwind and relax, enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

December 2, 2025
On day four, we’ll depart for Togo, but not before stopping at the vibrant town of Grand Popo.
Here, we’ll witness an authentic voodoo ceremony, experiencing the deep spiritual traditions that are a cornerstone of local culture.
Afterward, we’ll continue our journey, crossing into Togo and stopping at Miadjo Lake restaurant for a delicious lunch.
With stunning views of the lake, it’s the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the local cuisine. The day’s adventure continues with a lively boat tour, accompanied by music that will immerse us in the rhythmic sounds of the region.
We’ll then make our way to Lomé, where we’ll settle in for the night.

December 3, 2025
On day five, we’ll wake up in Togo and dive into a vibrant market experience. You’ll have the chance to shop for beautiful local fabrics, choosing from a wide array of colors and patterns that reflect the region’s rich textile heritage.
After finding the perfect material, we’ll head to our trusted Urban Flight Collective team of tailors, where you’ll have the option of purchasing a custom outfit to get made just for you.
Once the shopping and tailoring are complete, we’ll unwind with some relaxing beach time, enjoying the sun, sand, and sea before settling in for the evening.

December 4, 2025
On day six, we’ll explore the bustling city of Lomé, starting with a city tour that highlights its vibrant culture and history.
One of our key stops will be Independence Place, a symbol of Togo’s path to freedom and a great spot for photos.
Following the tour, we’ll dive into a hands-on cooking workshop where you’ll learn how to prepare traditional Togolese dishes.
To wrap up the day, those who ordered a custom outfit from the tailor will pick up their creations, ready to wear for the rest of our trip!

December 6, 2025
On day seven, we’ll cross into Ghana and make our way to the lively capital city of Accra.
Upon arrival, we’ll embark on a quick city tour to get acquainted with its rich history and culture. A highlight of our tour will be a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Museum, dedicated to the life and legacy of Ghana’s first president and a key figure in the country’s independence. It’s a fascinating stop that will provide us with deeper insights into Ghana’s history and its role in Africa’s liberation movements.

December 7, 2025
On day eight, we’ll embark on a deeply emotional and reflective journey to Cape Coast Castle, one of the most significant landmarks in the transatlantic slave trade. Walking through its dungeons and corridors, we’ll gain a profound understanding of the history and experiences of those who were forcibly taken from their homeland. After the tour, we’ll visit the nearby River of Memories, a symbolic location where many slaves took their last steps on African soil.
This day will be one of remembrance, offering a chance to honor the past while connecting with our heritage.

December 8, 2025
On day nine, we’ll spend time at a local orphanage, where we can connect with the children and support the community. This visit will allow us to give back, share joy, and build meaningful connections through interactions, games, and possibly even some small donations.
It’s a chance to make a positive impact on the lives of the children while deepening our understanding of the local culture and community.

On the final day of our journey, we’ll start with a visit to the stunning Aburi Gardens, known for its lush greenery and serene atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Ghana’s countryside.
Afterward, we’ll head to Sandbox Beach, where you can unwind, soak up the sun, and take a refreshing dip in the ocean. It’s a perfect ending to our 10-day adventure, combining tranquility, beauty, and relaxation before we prepare to say our goodbyes.

On the eleventh day, it’s time for departure. After an unforgettable 10-day journey filled with cultural immersion, historical exploration, and meaningful connections, we’ll say our goodbyes and head to the airport.
As you depart, take with you not only the memories of the trip but also the lasting impact of the experiences and friendships made along the way. Safe travels, and we hope to see you on future adventures with Urban Flight Collective!
