Day 1: Welcome To Rwanda!

After arriving in the breathtaking “Land of a Thousand Hills” you'll check into our beautiful 4.5-star property. Take the afternoon to relax, refresh, and enjoy the resort’s amenities, from lounging by the pool to unwinding at the bar after your journey.

In the evening, we’ll gather for a fun cocktail hour to mix, mingle, and start building connections with your fellow travelers. While we typically host our welcome dinner on the first night, we’re saving that special celebration for Day 2, after we’ve all had our hair braided and are ready to show up in style!

Day 2: Beauty and Pampering

Start your morning with a delicious breakfast, included with your stay, before indulging in a unique day of relaxation and cultural connection. Today you'll get to join in on our signature Urban Flight Collective Hair Braiding Experience.

You’ll learn about the rich art and history of African hair braiding while being styled by skilled local women. Sip champagne, unwind, and enjoy this beautiful tradition as your look is transformed.

In the evening, we’ll come together for our official Welcome Dinner, an unforgettable night of good food, great energy, and new friendships as we officially kick off our journey in Rwanda.

Day 3: Culture Day

Today we will head on an adventure as we delve into the heart of Rwandan culture. Begin with a unique market shopping experience, where you'll discover the rich culture of African fabrics and history. You'll get one outfit included where our Urban Flight Collective team of tailors will take your design and your fabric choice and create it for you!

 

After we do our market shopping we will engage in a hands-on cooking class, guided by local women, as you prepare traditional dishes using fresh ingredients sourced from bustling markets.

Friday August 14, 2026

Day 4: Cultural Day Part 2

 

Today, we’ll step beyond Kigali and dive deep into Rwanda’s vibrant cultural heritage. This full-day experience is designed to connect you with the traditions, wisdom, and resilience of the local people.

You’ll savor the taste of banana beer., discover ancient hunting techniques once practiced by ex-poachers including powerful insights from the Batwa community and explore Rwanda’s rich healing traditions with a local traditional healer. Learn about the medicinal properties of indigenous plants and their role in community wellness.

And that’s just the beginning, this day is filled with hands-on experiences and cultural encounters you’ll never forget!

Day 5: Reflective Exploration

Today we will dive into Rwanda's poignant history with a visit to the Genocide Museum, honoring the memory of those affected by past atrocities. Then, feel the rush of adrenaline as we venture to the mountains for an exhilarating ATV and zip line experience, blending introspection with adventure against the breathtaking backdrop of Rwanda's natural landscapes.

Day 6: Artisan Craft and Giving Back

Today we willl embrace the artistry of Rwandan culture with a hands-on basket weaving workshop, guided by expert local artisans. We will learn about the cultural significance of sisal basketry and contribute to this age-old tradition by crafting your own souvenir to cherish.

 

Following the workshop, join us in giving back to the community by visiting an after-school center, where we'll engage with local children and leave a lasting impact through meaningful interaction and support.

Day 7: Farewell Rwanda

As our journey comes to an end, bid farewell to the enchanting landscapes and warm hospitality of Rwanda as we prepare to return home to the USA, carrying with us memories of cultural immersion, adventure, and meaningful connections forged along the way.
