In the morning, we’ll come together for a Period Poverty Initiative, where we’ll donate pads and menstrual cups to local girls in need. Access to menstrual products is a major challenge for many young women in Cuba, and this effort ensures we’re making a direct impact on their lives.

 

Tonight, we kick off our adventure with a warm welcome dinner at a locally-owned paladar! Get ready to immerse yourself in Cuban culture while supporting independent entrepreneurs as you enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal. Dress to impress in your white dressy attire, and let’s toast to new experiences, meaningful connections, and the vibrant flavors of Cuba.

After breakfast, we’ll dive into the heart of Cuba’s rich Afro-Cuban heritage with a guided cultural tour led by local historians and artists. This tour highlights the profound African influences that shaped the island’s history, music, and traditions, and will provide us with a deeper understanding of the community and their resilience. Expect lively beats, colorful streets, and inspiring stories that reflect the pride and spirit of Cuba’s Afro-descendant population.

Later, we’ll step into the kitchen for a Cuban cooking class, where you’ll master authentic recipes passed down through generations. As you whip up traditional dishes like savory plantains and the iconic ropa vieja, you’ll not only learn the secrets of Cuban cuisine but also support local chefs and their culinary businesses. This hands-on experience will allow you to bring a taste of Cuba’s rich culture back home with you.

Day 3: Culture & Rhythm

Today, we’ll dive deeper into the island’s spiritual traditions with an Afro-Religion Tour, where you’ll learn about the profound influence of African religions like Santería. This tour will offer a rare opportunity to explore the rituals, beliefs, and practices that have been passed down through generations, remaining a vibrant part of Cuban life and culture. As we engage with local practitioners, we’ll gain insight into the significance of these spiritual practices in the lives of the Cuban people today.

In the afternoon, get ready to move and groove as we enjoy a private dance class with a talented local instructor. You’ll experience the rhythms of salsa, rumba, or other traditional Cuban dances, with a chance to learn about the historical and cultural roots of these dances. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or trying it for the first time, this lively experience is sure to connect you to the heart and soul of Cuba.

Day 4: HAPPY LABOR DAY!

Today is all about relaxation and immersing yourself in the beauty of Cuba’s stunning coastline! After breakfast, we’ll head to one of Cuba’s most breathtaking beaches for a catamaran ride, where we’ll sail the waters, while supporting local boat operators. This excursion offers the perfect opportunity to connect with the Cuban people, as many of these boat tours are run by local families who have been part of the island’s coastal communities for generations.

Day 5: Farewell, Cuba!

 

As our unforgettable Cuban adventure comes to a close, take the morning to enjoy some final moments on the island, whether it’s a last stroll through the vibrant streets, picking up a handcrafted souvenir from local artisans, or simply relaxing at our property—supporting small businesses and taking in the beauty of the island. This is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the memories we’ve made and the local communities we’ve engaged with during our time in Cuba.

Afterward, we’ll head to the airport for our journey home, carrying with us incredible memories, new friendships, and a deeper connection to Cuba’s rich culture, its people, and the ongoing efforts to support sustainable tourism in the country.
